For a limited time only, an additional Energy Efficiency Bonus of up to $350 is available for the installation of eligible natural gas heating and hot water appliances. Read below for more details or call AGN's Natural Gas Promotions Team on 1300 001 001 (Option 7).
Under the Energy Efficiency Bonus Promotion:
- A $250 Energy Efficiency Bonus can be claimed for the installation of a natural gas hot water service, ducted heater, hydronic heating or flued room heater with a 5- or 6-Star Energy Efficiency Rating; and or
- A $350 Energy Efficiency Bonus can be claimed for the installation of a natural gas hot water service, ducted heater, hydronic heater or flued room heater with a 7-Star Energy Efficiency Rating.
To qualify for payment of the Energy Efficiency Bonus, the eligible appliance must be:
- Installed between 1 September 2023 and 31 December 2023 (appliance must be fully connected and a Gas Compliance Certificate must be provided).
- Installed at an established home connected to the natural gas reticulation network in Victoria owned by Australian Gas Networks. You can contact AGN's Natural Gas Promotions Team on 1300 001 001 (Option 7) to double-check postcode area eligibility (particularly since AGN's sister-company, Multinet Gas Networks, is also offering this same promotion).
The eligible appliance must also have a minimum 5-Star Energy Efficiency Rating as determined by the Australian and New Zealand Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) Program. If the rating is more than 5-Stars but has a decimal place, it will be rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.
The following are key exclusions of the Energy Efficiency Bonus:
- Appliances that do not have a Star Energy Efficiency Rating as determined by the Australian and New Zealand E3 Program.
- Appliances installed outside of the promotion period, 1 September 2023 and 31 December 2023.
- Replacements of a solar hot water system type (including gas or electric boosted).
