Finding an energy retailer for billing purposes
Once you have your new gas connection completed at your property, it's up to you to decide which energy retailer to set up an ongoing billing account with.
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has created an online comparison tool ('Energy made easy') to assist customers choose the right energy retailer. You can click here to access this tool on the AER's website.
Read this download for information on how to best use this tool.
We encourage you to visit the AER's website for some handy tips to bear in mind while shopping around for the best deal. For example, the AER suggests that you:
- Ask your current energy retailer first if you can get a better deal from them.
- Review copies of your last couple of bills, so you have a solid understanding of your energy usage and what you've previously paid.
