What's available in New South Wales?

There are a range of rebates available in 2023 to customers connected to AGN's natural gas network in New South Wales. Follow the links below to read more about each offer, including Terms and Conditions plus information on how to claim.  The 2023 Natural Gas Rebate Campaign Period will run from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023. Claiming Deadlines apply.

While the majority of these offers are for the existing home (existing build) market, 2023 is the first year that AGN will be offering a select range of rebates to new builds across its network in New South Wales. Offers for new builds are as follows:

  • $500 off natural gas pool or spa heating
  • $250 off outdoor natural gas heating and alfresco kitchen appliances (e.g. natural gas bbqs, radiant heaters, pizza oven, wok burners)
  • $250 off natural gas clothes dryers

For the purposes of the 2023 Natural Gas Rebate Campaign, a 'new home' is considered to be a new build up until 1 month after handover or the date on the Occupancy Permit. No rebates are payable to natural gas hot water appliances or indoor natural gas cooking appliances installed in new builds.

These rebates are open to existing home customers connected to AGN's Wagga Wagga / Southern New South Wales Network. Eligible postcodes:

Offers for AGN customers in wider New South Wales

These rebates are open to existing home customers connected to AGN's wider natural gas network in New South Wales. Please note, AGN only owns a third of the network in the state, so rebates are only open to postcodes listed in this eligibility list. If  your postcode is not covered in this list, please contact AGN's Customer Service Team on 1300 001 001 (option 3) or AGN's Promotions Team on 1300 001 001 (option 7) to confirm address eligibility.

1. Offers for customers "ALREADY CONNECTED" to gas

These rebates are open to existing home (i.e. established build) customers in New South Wales who are already connected to natural gas. 'Already connected' means gas has been connected for greater than 6 months. Properties that are renovating and re-connecting to natural gas are classified as 'Already connected'.

2. Offers for "NEW CONNECTION" customers

These rebates are open to existing home (i.e. established build) customers in New South Wales who are either in the process of connecting to natural gas, or who have recently connected to natural gas. 'New connection' refers to a gas connection that has been connected for 6 months or less. Applies only to first-time new gas connections, not to properties that are re-connecting to natural gas (or where a new gas line has been added to the existing gas connection).
